Our Story

Learning AI Should Feel Calm, Not Chaotic

Prajya was founded on the belief that good teaching is patient, practical, and human.

Who We Are

A School Born in Northern Thailand

Prajya grew out of a series of informal workshops held in a small studio near Nimman Road in Chiang Mai. A handful of instructors, tired of online courses that moved too fast and explained too little, decided to put together something different — courses that took their time, courses that made room for questions.

The name Prajya comes from the Pali word for wisdom — not the dramatic flash of insight, but the quieter, steadier kind that comes from genuine understanding. That's what we try to build here: a foundation you can actually use.

Today Prajya offers three programmes in AI development, delivered fully online to learners across Thailand and beyond. Our team is small, our class sizes are manageable, and our instructors stay involved throughout each programme.

Our Mission

To make applied AI education available to anyone who is curious and willing to practise — without the pressure, the jargon-for-its-own-sake, or the sense that you've already fallen behind.

Patience over speed

We build programmes around understanding, not completion counts.

Practice over theory

Every concept connects to something you can build or test yourself.

People over platforms

You work with real instructors who respond to your actual questions.

The People Behind Prajya

Our Team

AT

Arisa Thanakit

Lead Instructor, ML Foundations

Arisa spent seven years working in data science in Bangkok before returning to Chiang Mai to focus on education. She leads the Foundations programme and has a particular talent for making probability intuitive.

KP

Krit Panyawong

Computer Vision Specialist

Krit comes from a background in academic computer vision research and brings that careful, methodical approach to the classroom. He designed the Computer Vision Track and enjoys helping learners debug their first working models.

NL

Nara Luangdee

Mentorship Coordinator

Nara oversees the Capstone Mentorship Programme, matching learners with the right instructor and keeping feedback cycles consistent and kind. She's also the main point of contact for new enrolment enquiries.

How We Work

Our Standards and Approach

Learner Privacy

We collect only what's needed to support your learning. Your data is never shared with advertising partners or sold to third parties.

Reviewed Curriculum

All course materials are reviewed regularly for accuracy and updated to reflect current tools and approaches in applied AI development.

Responsive Support

Every learner has a named instructor contact. We aim to respond to questions within one working day during the programme period.

Clear Course Materials

Written guides, code examples, and exercises are all authored in plain English. We avoid unnecessary technical jargon wherever possible.

Honest Scope

We describe what each programme covers and what it doesn't. You'll know what to expect before you enrol, with no surprises along the way.

Transparent Pricing

All fees are listed in Thai Baht with no additional charges. Payment details are shared clearly before any commitment is made.

Our Expertise

Applied AI Education in Chiang Mai

Prajya specialises in applied machine learning education, with programmes spanning foundational theory, computer vision, and self-directed project development. Our instructors bring working experience in data science, research computing, and software engineering — fields where AI tools are used day to day, not just discussed in abstract.

All three programmes share a common approach: new ideas are introduced slowly, each concept is connected to a working example, and learners are encouraged to ask questions rather than push through confusion. The Chiang Mai setting — calm, unhurried, and thoughtful — shapes the atmosphere we try to maintain in every course, even when sessions happen online.

We work with adult learners at different stages: people moving from a non-technical background, developers expanding their skill set, and researchers looking to apply ML tools in their own field. Our programmes are structured to meet each of these learners where they are, rather than assuming a single entry point.
